National Day for Truth and Reconcillation

Description

Come to Memorial Peace Park to support National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. 

Throughout the day, Indigenous drum groups and dancers will share their cultural artistry and special guest speakers will share stories and perspectives on truth, reconciliation, and healing. More than 60 local artisans, vendors and community organizations will be on site throughout the event. Free activities will include orange shirt painting, the creation of a community art project, drum circles, resource and knowledge sharing, and a healing tent and safe space for those impacted by the residential school system to come together to share and witness through stories.
